Big Twin Cycles Retro Rocket Rally

Update

Sat Aug 4th the Retro Rocket Rally @ Big Twin Cycles was a ton of fun. Bikes of all brands were represented with beautiful examples. Fred had a stage setup out front for the band ( Bret Welty and the Growlers) Carl came out from behind his desk and rocked the house on the bongos and harmonica. The showroom was full of vintage bikes as was most of the area outside. Pizza was offered up by Free Range wood fired Pizza( burp, that was good).

Greg, Tim and Rob were amazed with all of the people wanting to know what was up with the t-shirts. We started explaining what they were and why we started the new club. Afterwards we signed up 7 new people on the spot including 2 employees of Big Twin and 3 long time disgruntled bmw riders from Boise. One guy stated he had parked his mint /5 due to all of the flack he got for not riding a NEW bike. Sounds like whoever he was riding with forgot it about the ride and not what your on or wearing.

Bunch of non-fat soy mocha latte sucking BOZO Yuppie Muppets.

Check out the pic section/events and remember it not what you ride but the fact that you ride at all

Tech ride for tire adhesion test.

Update

The ride to Stanley on Sun the 29th for tire testing was real nice. Headed out from Horseshoe Bend around 9:20 up to Banks then to Lowman. We stopped at the Haven Restaurant in Lowman for a GREAT breakfast. The food and owners are both worth the trip (one of the owners joined the club).

Lowman to Stanley got crowded with all of the Sunday box traffic. Had the gopro on and got 2 good vids both before and after Lowman. The Z8 Interacts did a great job even when I got well over into the elephants.

July 7, 2012

The breakfast ride was a lot of fun. The sun was shining but it started getting hot fast. The view from the deck at Mann Creek was great; we could sit and watch the country side as we ate. All the people from both clubs appeared to be having a good time except one poor guy from the other club. He was sitting across from us hunched over in his chair, shaking and turning different shades of red (maybe he was up late). We sure hope he gets to feeling better soon.

Things are going to be hopping this month with the national but keep checking in to see if we set up another event soon.
